Danny Dean is a Columbus, Georgia native with more than four decades of experience in the construction industry. He began his career as a teenager working construction with his father. His expertise and determination to grow in the construction field led him to work for some of the nations’ leading contractors. For more than 20 years Danny traveled the country building and overseeing multi-million dollar projects including hospitals, airports, apartment complexes, offices, warehouses and sports fields. In 1991 Danny returned to Columbus to open his first construction company. Finding great success as a contractor in this region, he sold his partnership and founded D. Dean & Associates in 1999. Danny’s leadership, vision, expertise and involvement in every project has made D. Dean one of the largest and fastest growing construction companies in the Southeast.

Nikolas Fowler's leadership and management skills have played a large role in the substantial and continued growth of D. Dean. Nikolas is involved in every D. Dean project from the renovations of schools to the building of large retail centers. He attributes his success to the education he received from Auburn University’s renowned Building Science Program and the mentoring and hands on training at D. Dean.

Project Manager

Ken Chung has been managing multi-million dollar construction projects (Columbus Public Safety Complex, East Columbus Magnet Academy, Golden Park Renovations and others) since earning his engineering degree almost 20 years ago. Since joining D. Dean Ken has managed the construction of the rest stops for the city’s Rails to Trails project, the Milgen Road Shopping Center, multiple school renovations and additions along with numerous other projects. His skills and background have made him a great team member.

Project Manager

Harrison Morgan began his construction career with D. Dean & Associates while still a student at Auburn University’s Building Science Program. Harrison’s work ethic and leadership on projects like the Pine Mountain Public Safety Building and the Columbus Airport Rescue and Fire facility have given him the skills needed to be a successful project manager. In 2007 D. Dean opened its first satellite office in Birmingham, AL under Harrison’s supervision.

Construction Coordinator

Kevin Loraas’ understanding of the entire construction process – from the concept to design to project completion – is a valuable asset to D. Dean’s clients. Kevin’s expertise comes from years of working as a project manager for local architectural firms on government, civic, higher education, K-12 and institutional and private projects. His most notable achievement includes the 185,000 sq. ft National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center at Patriot Park.

Sheila Thacker plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of D. Dean. Her skills in accounting and business administration allow the company to run smoothly ensuring client’s jobs remain the most important goal.
